POSITION SUMMARY Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, and general cleaning., 2. Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment., 3. Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed., 4. Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor., 5. Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies., 6. Sets up furniture/equipment according to daily schedule for events., 7. Performs duties with Housekeeper/Custodian II or higher., 8. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times., 9. Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required., 11. Minimum age of 16., 13. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents., 14. Ability to report and record maintenance requests., 15. Completion of required trainings. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties., 2. Ability to erect and stand on ladders and platforms at heights up to 30 feet., 4. Ability to paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as needed., 5. Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.

Shifts are fixed and therefore any modifications to the schedule require advanced written approval from the VP of the department. While much of this position requires hands-on service, Full-Time roles may require a minimum of 3 hours of administrative work per workweek.
