Job DescriptionJob Title: Probate Paralegal Location: Seattle, Washington Schedule: Full-time Salary: $90,000-$120,000 DOE Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Seattle-based law firm to identify an experienced Probate Paralegal to support high-net-worth probate matters within its Estate Planning and Probate practice. This role is well suited for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of matters, exercises sound judgment, and can independently manage complex estates from initiation through closing while collaborating closely with attorneys, clients, and outside professionals. Responsibilities: • Draft and manage probate filings, including petitions to open probate, court orders, affidavits, releases, and related supporting documents, • Review and analyze wills, trusts, and estate planning documents to determine asset distribution and administration requirements, • Coordinate all aspects of probate administration, including calendaring, deadline tracking, and ensuring timely filings and statutory notices, • Notify heirs, devisees, and creditors, and publish Notices to Creditors as required, • Review and organize decedent records, determine asset ownership, and assist with asset valuation, • Obtain federal tax identification numbers and assist with the collection of death benefits, including insurance and Social Security benefits, • Prepare inventories, maintain estate financial records, and assist with estate tax preparation and filings, • Communicate with clients, personal representatives, beneficiaries, court personnel, and case-related experts with professionalism and discretion, • Draft a broad range of legal and administrative documents, including correspondence, contracts, petitions, and complaints, • Assist with court filings and attend court proceedings as needed Qualifications:, • Minimum of 6 years of probate or estate administration paralegal experience, • Strong knowledge of probate procedures, asset administration, and estate tax processes, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and proofreading accuracy, • Highly organized with strong document management, calendaring, and prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters independently, • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality, • Ability to work effectively with clients during sensitive and emotionally challenging circumstances, • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, • Strong phone, email, and interpersonal communication skills, • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, manage large volumes of documents, meet deadlines, work overtime when needed, and attend court or handle document delivery as required Benefits:, • Full-time, 40-hour workweek; Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours worked over 40, • Discretionary annual profit-sharing program, • 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution upon eligibility, • Medical insurance with approximately 88% employer-paid premiums, • Dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums, • Vision coverage included with medical insurance, • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options, • Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Employer-paid ORCA transit card, • On-site gym access, • PTO:, • 0-3 years: approximately 3.2 weeks annually, • 3-5 years: approximately 4.4 weeks annually, • 5-10 years: approximately 5.4 weeks annually, • 10+ years: approximately 6.4 weeks annually Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year Search managed by: Keaton Anderson Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: • The California Fair Chance Act, • Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance, • Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, • San Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceMassachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
