Additionally, as a Specialty Cook, you will be responsible for monitoring ingredient levels, ensuring proper storage, and adhering to food safety guidelines at all times. By working collaboratively with the culinary team and following established procedures, you will help dnata Catering exceed customer expectations and deliver memorable dining experiences. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food from menus., • Must have experience with various cooking duties – (grilling, preparing sauces, etc.), • Operating a traditional Asian cuisine cooking such items as meat and vegetables., • Preparing Asian cuisine sauces, and desserts as per standard and style set by the Head Chef(s), • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, burners/pans, and other cooking equipment, • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Asian cuisine including desserts., • Ensure the correct preparation and presentation standard of the dishes is always maintained., • Demonstrating tandoor techniques and cooking procedures to other staff if require, • Storing food in temperature-controlled freezers, • Checking on food supplies and advising the supervisor of any requirements, • Knowledge of HACCP/GMP is a plus, must comply with proper food handling policies and procedures. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors. EDUCATION: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree three (2) years in (culinary) in culinary field or appropriate continuing education experience and relevant work experience.
