The DREAM Program is doing work throughout the Northeast to close the opportunity gap for at-promise children and teens through deep community collaboration and sustained mentoring relationships. DREAMs Summer Enrichment Coordinators create and implement free local summer activities with youth who live in our partner communities. Many children and youth lack access to developmental resources that should be basic rights, and this can be a barrier to achieving their full potential. DREAMs goal is to fill that gap through offering programs and relationships intended to empower youth. Responsibilities and Expectations of Summer Enrichment Coordinators: • Your Impact:, • You and your team will plan and implement eight (8) weeks of fun, memorable, enriching summer daytime activities using our summer learning objectives for youth living in low income housing., • The activities you hold will happen in many locations: on-site (in communities where youth live), off-site (local parks, libraries, etc.), and more extensive field trips., • Our summer curriculum will guide you to plan activities based on four main objectives: Healthy Minds/Healthy Bodies, Problem Solvers, Artists and Creators, and Motivated Readers., • You will get to know each individual youth who participates in your day camp group, and incorporate their interests and ideas into your daily activities., • You will work with your team to plan and lead field trips out of the community on a regular basis, at least once weekly., • Teamwork and Communication:, • This role involves high levels of teamwork, creativity, and interpersonal communication., • You will be expected to communicate regularly with your co-service members, your supervisor, caregivers of youth in the program, and community members., • You may also engage with organizations who provide lunch and offer other necessary or desired resources to your service site., • Approach to Service:, • You will strive to provide a physically, emotionally, and mentally safe and inclusive environment for youth and your team., • While using the summer objectives to guide you, we encourage you to put an emphasis on the interests of the youth being served, play, social-emotional learning, and summertime joy. Job Description Position Overview The Emerging Climatetech Fellow will be a part of the Emerging Climatetech (ECT) division, working to support the growth of the Massachusetts clean energy economy and position the Commonwealth as a global leader in clean energy and climatetech innovation. The Emerging Climatetech team includes three functional teams: the Technology-to-Market grant program team, the Business Development Support team, and the Investments team. ECT is charged with understanding the market ecosystem for clean energy and climatetech sectors, recognizing and supporting emerging technologies and market opportunities, identifying market trends and barriers, and supporting startup companies’ growth in the Commonwealth. Primary work will fall under the Technology-to-Market team, which oversees a suite of grant programs to help researchers and start-up companies develop and commercialize their clean energy technologies and to help organizations that support early-stage companies (i.e., incubators and accelerators). However, work has the ability span all functions of ECT. The Fellow is an important contributor to the team’s day-to-day operations. The Fellow will assist ECT with project tracking and management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, program administration, research and analysis activities, and event planning and logistics. This will involve implementing retrieval algorithms for remote sensing of atmospheric constituents, testing software, improving algorithm, and assessing result.2.
