Job Title: Bilingual Private Tutor (Chinese & English) Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and well-educated Bilingual Private Tutor to help our child with their homework and provide support in their overall school life. The ideal candidate will speak both Chinese and English fluently, have experience in academic tutoring, and be capable of handling the emotional needs of children. Flexibility in scheduling is a key aspect, and the tutor should be able to adapt to our child’s learning pace and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with daily homework assignments across multiple subjects.
• Support our child in staying organized and prepared for school activities and tests.
• Communicate regularly with teachers (if needed) to stay informed about school progress.
• Help foster good study habits and time management skills.
• Provide emotional support and understanding to help our child navigate challenges in school.
• Engage with school life beyond academics, encouraging participation in extracurricular activities if applicable. Qualifications: • Fluent in both Chinese and English
• Experience tutoring children in elementary/middle school subjects.
• Ability to handle the emotional needs of children with care, patience, and understanding.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible availability to accommodate our child’s school schedule.
• Educated to at least a college level in any field, preferably with experience in education or child development. Schedule: • Flexible hours, typically during after-school hours and weekends, with occasional check-ins during the day if needed. Location:
• In-person, at our home or another agreed-upon location in the Whitestone, NY area. Compensation:
