Job Description Position Summary: We are looking for a talented and reliable Lead Cook to oversee key prep areas—including soups, dressings, salads, and daily specials—while also assisting with general line duties, plating, and kitchen organization. This is a hands-on role for a motivated cook who brings consistency, creativity, and leadership to the team. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking and stepping in wherever needed to support smooth, efficient service. Key Responsibilities: * Take the lead in preparing soups, house-made dressings, compose salads, and rotating specials. * Assist with line prep, assembly, and final plating across all stations as needed. * Maintain consistent recipes, portion control, and high food quality standards. * Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal items and featured specials. * Support daily prep tasks, kitchen flow, and mise en place for all stations. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas. * Guide and support junior staff during prep and service. * Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. * Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operation standards. Qualifications: * 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. * Strong knowledge of prep techniques, sauces, soups, and salad components. * Ability to multitask between prep, assembly, and service duties. * Solid knife skills and a good eye for presentation and detail. * Dependable, organized, and able to work well under pressure. * ServSafe certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
