Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Assembly IJob Description The Electrical Assembly I role focuses on 5DX verification testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic circuit board assemblies to component level. You use electronic test and measurement equipment, follow detailed assembly documentation, and support continuous improvement efforts in diagnostic efficiency while working closely with manufacturing and test engineering teams. Responsibilities • Perform 5DX verification testing on electronic circuit board assemblies and ensure accurate diagnostic results., • Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies down to the component level, following established procedures and quality standards., • Exhibit proficiency in using electronic test and measurement equipment, such as multimeters and other diagnostic tools., • Understand and utilize assembly documentation including bills of materials (BOM), visuals, deviations, testing tools, and testing procedures to complete work accurately., • Analyze fault data output, determine appropriate rework actions, and execute repairs in line with diagnostic and manufacturing requirements., • Escalate borderline or unclear faults to process technicians and collaborate to resolve complex issues., • Assist the Test Engineering department in ongoing data evaluation programs aimed at improving diagnostic efficiency and process yields., • Follow all production requirements, rules, policies, and procedures related to diagnostic and manufacturing operations., • Work as an active team member to help the Diagnostic/Manufacturing department achieve process yield and performance goals., • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position and follow directions provided by supervisors., • Comply with all procedures within the company security policy and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of production data., • Complete annual operator re-certification and successfully pass the required test to maintain qualification., • Operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software to access documentation, record data, and support diagnostic activities., • Present information clearly and respond to questions from groups such as managers, clients, customers, and other stakeholders when needed., • Apply common sense understanding to carry out one- or two-step instructions and work effectively in standardized situations., • Perform basic mathematical calculations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages as required for the role., • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, visual aids, blueprints, graphs, and schematics related to electrical assemblies and production tasks., • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping, and panel building tasks as needed., • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on diagnostic processes and participating in initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality., • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production and diagnostic operations.Essential Skills, • Ability to diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to component level., • Proficiency in using electronic • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions., • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and visual aids., • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions., • Ability to work in standardized situations with occasional or no variables., • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals., • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs., • Basic electrical wiring or electrical assembly knowledge (preferred)., • Strong initiative and drive to learn a trade through an in-depth training academy., • Ability and motivation to learn to interpret blueprints, graphs, schematics, and documentation specific to the role., • Commitment to following safety, health, and security policies and procedures at all times.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with electrical assembly, wiring, and mechanical assembly in a production or industrial environment., • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for control panels and electronic assemblies., • Hands-on experience using hand and power tools for assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping, and panel building tasks., • Familiarity with electronic and electrical testing, including working with electronics and electronic assemblies., • Experience with control panel assembly, panel wiring, and industrial panel building., • Soldering skills for electronic and electrical components in production settings., • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment and meeting diagnostic and manufacturing yield goals., • Willingness to participate in a structured training academy to build technical skills and knowledge., • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a climate-controlled, fast-paced production environment focused on electronic and electrical assemblies. The standard schedule is on second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The training academy runs for one week, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the first Monday starting at 7:30 a.m. to accommodate orientation. You work with electronic circuit boards, test and measurement equipment, hand and power tools, and computer-based documentation within a structured manufacturing setting. The environment supports both individual focus and teamwork, with clear procedures, safety standards, and production goals guiding daily activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.38 - $24.38/hr.
