Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last ten years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. We spent the majority of our energies during the COVID Pandemic serving NYC City Agencies in the provision of food for the underserved, as well as non-profit agencies throughout NYC. What You’ll Do: - Reading order sheets, pick and packing daily deliveries based on the order sheet - Inspect orders to ensure accuracy and quality - Rotating between the hot and cold kitchen, prescribing heating time, temperature, and location for retherm of all deliveries by using your knowledge of food safety and temperature degradation that occurs during delivery - Work as a team with the pick & pack and dispatch team to ensure all orders are accurate and organized for delivery - Organizing cooler and dry storage areas by the “First in First Out” principle - Comply with all company policies, rules & regulations regarding safety, personal hygiene (GMP’s), operational methods and food safety guidelines - Ensuring quality is maintained during pick and pack (hot food, cold food) process - Strong communication skills with team Who You Are: - Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID with proof of vaccination (Required) - Must have Food Handlers Certification (Preferred) - Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time - A self-starter and problem-solver spirit with extreme attention to detail - Experience working on teams and enjoy being a team player - Interest in being part of a growing company trying to bring a fresh take on pre-packaged meals - Bilingual (Preferred) What We Offer: Green Top Farms provides benefits including medical insurance, sick leave, paid time off that increases with tenure, commuter benefits and potential for bonuses through our Green Shares employee bonus program. Senior Sustainability Consultant As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Kinetic Communities Consulting Corporation (KC3), you will have the opportunity to impact communities and organizations seeking to create a more sustainable future. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team and lead clean energy, decarbonization, climate resiliency, and community engagement projects. Job Overview As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will lead a portfolio of consulting projects primarily for government and utility clients. You will work closely with clients to plan, manage, and implement community driven energy projects in New York. You will also be a subject matter expert providing outreach and direct technical assistance to participants in larger government and utility programs. Responsibilities Project Lead Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop tailored strategies Analyze data and trends to provide actionable recommendations Identify and engage community-based organization partners to co-create project deliverables Design stakeholder engagement and communication efforts related to initiatives Develop and present information to various audiences, including internal team and external stakeholders Conduct research and compile reports and memos Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to improve our services continuously Subject Matter Expert (Outreach) Provide subject matter expertise to multifamily building decision-makers, residents, trade allies, and other program participants Work closely with program implementation teams and partners to identify and develop initiatives that advance decarbonization goals Engage and recruit potential program participants Review and assess clean energy scopes of work in affordable multifamily buildings Conduct analysis and benchmarking of building energy consumption and building characteristics Research regulatory compliance pathways for assigned projects The tasks listed above are representative of work that is typical for this role and are subject to change based on client program and project needs. About You The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of work experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for environmental, social, and economic justice. We seek a proactive candidate who can adapt and solve problems independently and collaboratively. What You’ll Do: - Responsible for managing daily food service in a corporate office setting, including receiving deliveries, stocking pantries, plating foods. - Responsible for maintaining a food safe and sanitary environment for food service that meets safe food handling guidelines. - Performing basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads. - Setting up and breaking down dining and buffet areas as per the catering manager's instructions. - Ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each service and/or catering event. Appropriately storing all equipment at the end of service. - Assisting in loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies onto and off catering vehicles. - Must be willing to work and commute to multiple sites in Manhattan. - Dish washing duties depending on assigned site. Who You Are: - Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
