Job Description Job Title: Sales Director Department: Sales & Marketing FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Executive Director JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Director is responsible for achieving and maintaining full occupancy at the Community through the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing efforts. This role includes lead generation, inquiry follow-up, conducting tours, maintaining accurate prospect records, and converting leads to residents through relationship-building and effective sales techniques. The Sales Director collaborates with the Executive Director and department heads to ensure alignment between sales goals and operational excellence. In addition to direct sales functions, the Sales Director is responsible for representing the Community within the greater market area, building and nurturing referral relationships, and serving as a brand ambassador for the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Achieve and maintain full occupancy by meeting or exceeding monthly move-in goals and census targets., • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle including lead generation, inquiry response, tour scheduling and conducting, follow-up communications, deposit collection, and move-in coordination., • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate prospect database, utilizing CRM systems to track leads, conversions, and activities., • Conduct regular follow-ups with all inquiries and referral sources using established sales systems and timelines., • Develop and implement a quarterly/annual marketing plan in collaboration with the Executive Director and Management Company, including internal and external marketing events, advertising, and community outreach efforts., • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with professional referral sources, including case managers, physicians, discharge planners, clergy, senior centers, and local business leaders., • Represent the Community at networking events, community fairs, and professional meetings to increase brand visibility and referrals., • Train and supervise Community team members on tour presentation, inquiry intake, and customer service best practices., • Provide monthly reports on sales activity, lead trends, conversion ratios, and marketing performance to the Executive Director., • Ensure marketing materials and promotional collateral are up-to-date, professional, and reflective of the Community's standards., • Partner with department heads to ensure smooth onboarding of new residents, including coordination of assessments, room readiness, welcome experiences, and family communication., • Participate in Manager on Duty rotation as required., • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to advertising, promotions, and documentation., • Foster a welcoming and emotionally supportive environment for prospective residents and families., • This working manager must maintain a hands-on approach and lead by example, ensuring sales and marketing functions are executed to the highest standard., • Proven success in sales, preferably in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or related industry., • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills., • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system proficiency and data tracking/reporting experience preferred., • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and network effectively., • Passion for serving seniors and working within a mission-driven culture., • State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement., • Tuberculosis (TB) clearance as required by the state., • First Aid and CPR Certifications as required by the state.., • Criminal Background check cleared., • Certification and/or License as required by the state., • Fingerprint clearance as required by the state., • Must be at least 18 years of age as outlined in state regulations., • Must be able to read, speak and write the English language. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands: • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods., • Ability to talk and hear to communicate effectively with residents and staff., • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently., • Sitting, • Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel, • Reaching with hands and arms, • Regular interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors., • Occasional evening, weekend, or night shifts may be required to ensure proper shift coverage., • Subject to potential exposure to:, • Communicable diseases and infections, • Exposure to blood-borne pathogens., • Various drugs, chemicals, infectious, or biological hazards, • On-call work may be required on an as-needed basis., • Frequent travel may be necessary., • There is no anticipated regular exposure to latex. Professional office environment. Uses PC, telephones, word processing and other standard office equipment. Attends business-related functions. Occasional travel to communities, various sales calls and industry meetings/conferences.
