Job DescriptionIrvine Clinical Research is the largest independent clinical research site network on the West Coast. With 5 research centers in California, we are leaders in the search for new treatments in neurology, psychiatry, and obesity medicine. Our largest area of research is in Alzheimer’s Disease prevention and treatment drug trials, and our doctors were the largest contributors in the world to the most recently FDA-approved medication in Alzheimer’s Disease. Irvine Clinical Research is hiring physicians who are a neurologist, psychiatrist, internist, or a proceduralist skilled in intrathecal administration. The physician will oversee Phase 2 & 3 clinical trials of some of the most promising drugs under investigation in memory, depression, and obesity. This includes disease-modifying anti-amyloid therapies like donanemab, novel approaches to MDD, and agonists of GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptors. Our hiring needs vary per location (Irvine, Long Beach, Inglewood, Riverside, and Oakland), so please indicate any preferred locations in your application.Job Duties • Lead study team as a Principal or Sub-Investigator, ensuring trials are conducted safely and per protocol, • Conduct clinical intake interviews to determine medical eligibility of potential study participants, • Educate potential participants about diseases and the benefits of clinical trial participation, • Manage the safety of study participants; respond appropriately to adverse events in a timely manner, • Attend investigational meetings for new clinical trials and scientific conferences, • Provide medical leadership to our team of psychologists and study coordinatorsJob Requirements, • Valid license to practice medicine in California (or license-eligible), • Board-certified in neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, family medicine, obesity, endocrinology, or skilled in intrathecal administration in clinic, • Experience working with older adults in a clinical or research setting, • Clinical research experience is preferred, but not required We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
