Job Summary: The Manager, Trading Strategy & Governance serves as a strategic enablement and leadership support role within the Trading organization. This position strengthens decision-making, execution discipline, and organizational effectiveness by partnering closely with the Head of Trading across markets, desks, and stakeholders. The role focuses on how Trading operates — including strategic planning and execution, governance coordination, leadership reporting, and organizational alignment — ensuring the function is disciplined, aligned, and positioned to meet investment and fiduciary objectives. This individual combines strong analytical capability with exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence. As a trusted partner to senior leadership, the role serves as connective tissue across trading desks and cross-functional stakeholders, helping align priorities, reduce friction, and maintain momentum across initiatives. The ideal candidate brings intellectual curiosity, positive energy, and a collaborative presence that strengthens team cohesion and organizational effectiveness. Duties/Responsibilities: • Act as a trusted partner and support to the VP, Energy Management by structuring priorities, agendas, and follow-through across the trading organization and with stakeholders, • Prepare decision-ready analyses, summaries, and briefing materials for investment discussions and executive leadership, • Drive execution across trading desks and cross functional teams by proactively unblocking issues and advancing critical decisions, • Translate leadership priorities and strategic initiatives into defined initiatives with clear scope, milestones along with strong ownership and execution, • Co-ordinate consistent operating practices and initiatives across trading desks, including planning cadence, goal tracking, performance review support, trading capabilities, analytics, tooling, and workflow design, • Develop and curate management-level reporting related to trading performance, portfolio exposure, execution quality, and organizational effectiveness, • Partner with EM Team, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Accounting and Technology to ensure governance expectations and investment standards are clearly understood and embedded, • 5–9 years of experience in asset management, trading, investment strategy, or trading business management, • Direct exposure and work within energy trading environments and investment decision making, • Experience working closely with senior investment or commercial leaders, • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, leadership-ready insights, • High judgment, discretion, and comfort operating in ambiguous situations with exceptional organization and follow-through, • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across senior leadership, trading desks, and cross-functional stakeholders, • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal instincts, • Naturally collaborative and trusted; able to build alignment and serve as connective tissue across teams, • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk, using a computer workstation., • The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 20 pounds., • Must be able to handle long periods of screen time and typing.
