The ideal candidate will have prior Med Surg or Ortho experience and be confident in monitoring telemetry patients and managing surgical post-op care. • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to orthopedic and telemetry patients., • Manage post-surgical orthopedic cases, including joint replacements and trauma., • Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products., • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias., • Perform tracheostomy and chest tube care., • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, PT/OT, and social work., • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation., • Active RN License: New York (in hand before start), • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele or Ortho RN experience, • Certifications Required: BLS, • EMR Experience: Epic preferred, • Travel Experience: Not required, • Float Requirement: Yes (to other MS units), • Scheduling: Block scheduling available, • Unit Type: Med Surg / Ortho, • Beds: 35, • Patient Ratios: Evenings 1:5 (may stretch to 1:6–7), Nights 1:6–7 (may stretch to 1:8–9), • Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics, • Common Diagnoses: Osteoarthritis, fractures, post-op ortho, total joint replacement, • Special Equipment: Chest tubes, PCA pumps, HFNC, tracheostomy equipment, wound vacs, • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Rochester Regional Health System), • Interdisciplinary Support: PT/OT, RT, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response Team, Social Services, • Scrub Color: Navy HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
