About the Program USF Dining Services, operated by Chartwells Higher Education, in partnership with the USF School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, is seeking motivated students for a two-semester rotational internship program. This program provides hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, and professional development in contract food service management and hospitality operations. Interns will gain valuable experience across multiple functional areas while completing academic benchmarks aligned with the School of Hospitality. What You’ll Do • Operations: Daily dining management, scheduling, and customer service, • Culinary: Food preparation, safety, catering, and event execution, • Finance: Budgeting, inventory management, and financial reporting, • Human Resources: Recruitment, training, and compliance, • Marketing: Promotions, digital content, and student engagement, • Leadership & Supervision: Leading shifts, supervising staff, and coordinating eventsWhat You’ll Learn, • Soft Skills: Leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, • Technical Skills: Food safety, event execution, labor scheduling, financial systems, and operational management, • How to balance hospitality standards with large-scale contract food service operationsProgram Requirements, • Enrollment: Current student in the USF School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, • Availability: Open availability, seven days per week (except during classes or labs), • Standards: Attendance and conduct must meet the same expectations as USF Dining employees, • Commitment: Participation across two academic semesters (Fall & Spring)Benefits, • Hands-on leadership and management experience, • Direct mentorship from hospitality and dining professionals, • Exposure to multiple career paths in food service and hospitality management Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Job DescriptionTo manage the Atlas Jimmy John’s stores within assigned geographical area in accordance with Jimmy John’s Operational Standards. Manage, train and develop General Managers and staff. Manage the financial operation of stores in accordance with predefined goals set by CEO. Duties and Responsibilities • Be a Role Model to new Team Members, • Provide excellent Customer Service, • Adhere to Team Member Handbook Policies and Procedures, • Maintain and foster Company Culture, • Maintain store cleanliness, • Maintain Food Safety, • Maintain Workplace Safety, • Maintain Store and Equipment Safety, • Work closely with Regional Manager to meet key performance metrics, • Attend weekly District Manager meetings at the Corporate office, • Administer Performance Reviews, Corrective Actions and Coaching’s, • Train and develop staff, • Manage to P&L for market, • Plan and execute growth strategies, • Work closely with marketing teams, • Plan and execute General Manager meetings, • Onsite visits required, • Audit to brand and company standards, • Manage market KPI’s, • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a food service manager, • Must be an excellent coach to your team and develop them for advancement, • Must be coachable and apply what you learn, • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, confident, and charismatic, • Must be able to meet performance metrics, • Must have strong communication skills including formal written communication, • Must have a sense of urgency to complete requested tasks, • Must have reliable transportation Physical requirements Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, climb stairs and walk.
