Job DescriptionElectrical Apprentice / Junior Mechanic / MechanicJob Summary We are seeking skilled Electrical Apprentices, Junior Mechanics, and Mechanics to join our team on commercial construction projects throughout Long Island. Candidates should have experience with conduit installation, wire pulling, electrical device installation, and blueprint reading. This is a long-term opportunity with room for growth, steady work, and the chance to advance within the electrical trade. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics., • Install EMT, rigid, PVC, and galvanized conduit systems., • Bend conduit accurately using hand benders and mechanical equipment., • Pull wire and install MC and BX cable., • Perform rough-in and finish electrical work., • Install electrical boxes, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and devices., • Install and assist with panels, transformers, and switchgear., • Perform terminations on 120V–480V electrical systems., • Troubleshoot electrical issues and assist with repairs., • Follow OSHA safety standards and NEC code requirements., • Maintain clean and organized work areas., • Work effectively with foremen, mechanics, and other trades on site.QualificationsApprentice Electrician, • 3+ years of commercial electrical experience required., • Experience pulling wire, installing conduit, and rough-in work., • Ability to read basic blueprints and layouts., • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools., • Eagerness to learn and advance within the trade.Junior Mechanic, • 4–6 years of commercial electrical experience., • Experience bending and installing conduit., • Ability to work from blueprints with minimal supervision., • Experience with rough-in, finish work, and device installation.Mechanic, • 6+ years of commercial electrical experience., • Strong conduit bending and layout skills., • Experience installing panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems., • Ability to independently complete installations from drawings and specifications., • Strong troubleshooting abilities and knowledge of NEC code.Required Skills, • Commercial electrical construction experience, • Blueprint reading, • Conduit bending and installation, • Wire pulling and terminations, • Rough-in and finish work, • Panel and switchgear installation, • 120V–480V electrical systems, • Troubleshooting and diagnostics, • Knowledge of NEC code, • OSHA 10 or 30 Required Why Work Here?, • Long-term commercial projects throughout Long Island., • Consistent work schedule., • Overtime opportunities available., • Holiday and vacation pay., • 401(k) program., • Opportunities for advancement into Lead Mechanic and Foreman positions., • Stable company with a strong pipeline of work.Work Environment, • Commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, warehouses, and renovation projects throughout Long Island., • Full-time schedule, typically Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM., • Field-based work requiring the use of hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and conduit bending equipment.
