Job Description We are seeking a Front Desk Attendant with availability during weekdays Responsibilities: • Check in guests, • Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints, • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments, • Maintain and enforce the safety of members and guests., • Dress according to club policy to present a conservative and professional look. Qualifications: • Previous experience in customer service, front desk service, or other related fields preferred, • Ability to build rapport with guests, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs., • Must be able to maneuver throughout the club and equipment., • Provide basic equipment assistance., • Consistently complete simple mathematics functions., • Possess problem-solving and conflict resolution skills., • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers and members., • Physical ability to complete assigned cleaning tasks. Compensation comprised of hourly, commission and bonus. Scope of work below: I. JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: A. Must be 18 years or older B. Must be able to maneuver throughout the Club and the equipment C. Demonstrate competence in the operation of basic office equipment: phone; fax machine, computer, copy machine, etc. D. Consistently complete simple mathematics functions: addition, subtraction, division E. CPR Certified within 60 days of employment F. Ability to maintain organization and good attention to detail G. Demonstrate responsibility, dependability and consistency in communicating messages, completing assigned tasks, attending meetings, arriving on time, etc. H. Posses problem solving and conflict resolution skills to maintain both the Club’s and the member’s best interest I. Demonstrate self-motivating and self-directed behaviors such as seeking out additional duties J. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and members; communicating positively & effectively to members & staff regarding concerns and questions K. Successful completion of Initial Training Program L. Successful completion of member guest test II. JOB-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: A. Effectively tour and sign-up prospective members (reference the tour check sheet) & provide accurate & thorough information about the Club B. Have each toured member completely fill out guest/Prospect card (signature required) C. Complete data input of tour information into CSI system D. Complete data input of all membership information into CSI system upon completion of sign-ups. E. Set up mandatory of assessments for members. Follow up courtesy calls to members. F. Accept cancellations and question canceling member’s reason in tactful, caring manner (see cancellation policy) G. Prompt arrival for shift (recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to shift start time) H. Dress according to Club policy to present a conservative and professional appearance I. Attend to the needs of members and guests, providing excellent and friendly customer service J. Learn and use telephone properly and only for business purposes K. Charge and collect the correct fees for guests, memberships, etc. L. Complete appropriate paperwork completely and accurately: agreements/contracts, cancellations, holds, billing problems, etc. M. Avoid absenteeism and follow department protocol for time-off, shift changes, and illness N. Attend all staff meetings and read the “Everything You Need to Know Book” at the beginning of each shift. Check Spike for any Cub and Mountainside updates O. Adhere to policies and procedures as specified by the Employee Handbook P. Be able to work successfully towards goals set by Sales Manager Q. Be able to successfully maintain percent for sign-ups and fitness assessments R.
