We’re seeking an experienced Fabrication Foreman Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Fabrication Foreman. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Fabrication Foreman, you will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. You must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, Vision, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays, • Tuition Reimbursement* DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of fabrication personnel, including welders, fitters, and machine operators and brake form operators., • Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of jobs within specifications., • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication schedules., • Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools., • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing company safety policies and OSHA standards., • Conduct inspections to verify the quality of fabricated components and assemblies., • Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures., • Communicate with engineering, quality control, and production management to resolve technical or scheduling issues., • Track materials usage, report shortages, and assist in inventory management., • Prepare daily production reports and maintain records of work performed and employee attendance., • The Fabrication Foreman oversees daily operations within the fabrication department, ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role is responsible for leading a team of fabricators, welders, and assemblers to produce high-quality metal components and assemblies according to engineering specifications and production schedules, • If a FOD issue arises, take necessary actions to eliminate the issue while complying with AAE Aerospace procedures on our FOD Policy., • Responsible for meeting all quality standards, which require individuals to take responsibility for their own quality, verify their work is correct and then affix their signature to the appropriate documentation (i.e., drawing, checklist, etc.)., • Maintains an open mind throughout the change process and works with others to continuously fuel improvement throughout the Company., • Practices safe work habits and ensures all safety rules are followed., • Responsible for keeping the area clean and organized to ensure safe working conditions., • considerations including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment., • Utilizing ISO 9001/AS9100 standards., • Supervise teams that work in operations and product development., • Work with Operations Manager and other teams leads to managing and prioritizing staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met., • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor, • Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues., • Ensure that all documentation Blueprints and Drawings are on file, current and complete prior to any job being run. REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES: • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in welding or metal fabrication preferred., • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and blueprint reading., • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment., • Proficient in using measuring instruments and fabrication tools., • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills., • Working knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance procedures., • Organizational and leadership abilities, • Communication and interpersonal skills, • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, • Problem-solving skills, • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage, • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role, • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools, • Advanced skills in MS Office, • Forklift Certification ITAR REQUIREMENTS: • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours., • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs., • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required., • Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s)., • Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level., • Occasional forklift driving required.
