About the Role: As an Aircraft Parts Buyer, you will be responsible for the timely procurement of aircraft parts, tools, and materials to support aircraft maintenance and operations. In this role, you will source vendors, negotiate prices and delivery schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate records. To succeed, you should have strong knowledge of aviation industry standards and supply chain logistics. A Day in the Life: Your day will be dynamic and detail-oriented, focused on keeping our aircraft fully supported and airworthy. Typical responsibilities include: • Parts Procurement: Secure aircraft parts, components, consumables, and tools in alignment with company requirements and maintenance schedules., • AOG & Critical Purchases: Manage time-sensitive AOG/MEL/NEF consumable purchases to minimize aircraft downtime., • Supplier Management: Evaluate and source from approved vendors, brokers, and OEM/aftermarket suppliers—negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing., • Inventory Coordination: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with Stores/Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory., • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all purchased parts meet FAA and other regulatory requirements., • Repair Orders & Quotes: Review and submit repair orders for wheels, brakes, landing gear, and APUs. After receiving approval, submit quotes and source required parts from approved vendors, brokers, and OEM/aftermarket suppliers., • Documentation: Maintain accurate purchase orders, traceability records, and certification documents for full compliance and accountability., • Cross-Department Communication: Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Stores to understand operational needs and priorities., • Order Management: Submit RFQs, monitor order status, and expedite shipments as needed., • Issue Resolution: Address discrepancies in shipments, invoices, or fulfillment, collaborating with inspection, quality control, vendors, and bases to resolve issues., • Be Part of a Team That Values You: Join a tight-knit, supportive team of professionals who are passionate about aviation and committed to safety and excellence., • No Two Days Are the Same: Work in a dynamic environment where your expertise ensures the reliability of every JSX flight., • Make a Tangible Impact: Your attention to detail and technical expertise directly contribute to flight safety and an exceptional Customer experience. We’re looking for someone who is: • Adaptable: You thrive in dynamic environments, adjusting quickly to changing priorities, weather, and operational needs., • Collaborative: You work well across departments, valuing communication and teamwork to achieve common goals., • Communicative: You share information clearly and confidently across teams, helping to build trust and streamline operations., • Detail-Oriented: Nothing gets past you, from preflight checks to final shutdown., • Proactive: You don’t just react – you anticipate issues and take the initiative to address them after they escalate., • Understanding of aircraft part traceability, certifications (8130, Form One), and airworthiness requirements, • Attention to detail, • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Must have good computer skills, basic typing skills and experience in Excel and Word, • Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting, • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry., • Familiarity with aircraft parts catalogs (e.g., IPC, AMM)., • A current and valid Driver’s license is required., • Good communication and people skills Pay & Perks: Compensation is $50,000 - $60,000 /annually.
