Pay Range $46,200.00-$63,500.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. Job Description: Welder II Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in welding techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle more complex welding tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and contribute to high-quality production in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: \n • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and FCAW.\n, • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.\n, • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.\n, • Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards.\n, • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.\n, • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.\n, • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.\n, • Conduct task-specific PPE selection and adhere to safe work habits.\n, • Ensure hand safety and communicate hazards effectively.\n, • Practice grinding safety and control hazardous energy (LOTO).\n, • Operate forklifts and perform crane pre-use inspections and operations.\n, • Handle crane rigging, slings, and lift devices.\n, • Ensure compressed gas cylinder safety and machine guarding.\n, • Utilize computer skills for e-mail, safety skills, and Workday.\n, • Manage waste streams (scrap metal, environmental) and welding fume extraction.\n, • Comprehend and sign off on JSA.\n, • Work in hot work permitted areas and maintain housekeeping standards.\n, • Use common hand tools and measuring tools (tape measure, scale).\n, • Apply basic shop math (measurements, geometry, volume, area).\n, • Prepare welds by removing scale and oil and grinding bevels and fit up.\n, • Identify weld fillers and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.\n, • Locate and use SOPs.\n, • Perform basic machine maintenance and pre-use inspections.\n, • Set up and ensure functionality of welding machines.\n, • Use fixturing and rotary tables.\n, • Handle materials and operate oxygen/acetylene equipment.\n, • Perform basic welding of steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and aluminum.\n, • Conduct spot welding and fabricate to 1/8-inch tolerance.\n, • Understand heat control and its effects on alloys.\n, • Conduct visual inspections for cracks and porosity.\n, • Perform pressure check operations and chop saw operations.\n, • Operate shears, plate rollers, hand breaks, foot shears, swaging, and flaring.\n, • Use hydraulic presses and bend tubes to 90 degrees.\n, • Recognize hazards and identify materials (alloys).\n, • Perform proficient welding of steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and aluminum.\n, • Conduct plasma cutting operations and gas purging.\n, • Perform soldering and brazing.\n, • Bend tubes with multiple bends and operate press breaks.\n, • Layout and weld out of position.\n, • Fabricate assemblies to 1/16-inch tolerance.\n, • Flatten and straighten materials.\n, • Use precision measuring tools (caliper, micrometer).\n, • Conduct visual inspections for undercut, cold lap, and inclusions.\n, • Maintain attention to detail and quality.\n, • Meet or exceed production standards.\n, • Solve problems and perform rework.\n, • Adapt to non-routine tasks.\n, • Implement 5S and manage quality spills and engineering tasks.\n, • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in welding is required\n, • High school diploma or equivalent. \n, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. \n, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. \n, • Good communication and teamwork skills. \n, • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols. \n, • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.\n, • Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.\n, • Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. \n, • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. \n\n Please Keep in Mind If you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
