Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Mammography Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/11/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients efficiently and professionally.\n, • Conduct mammographic imaging for breast needle localization procedures and stereotactic procedures, including setup and cleanup.\n, • Assist in procedures utilizing ultrasound guidance.\n, • Provide immobilization devices, select appropriate technical factors based on individual patient needs, and operate equipment for specific procedures.\n, • Ensure patient films are accurately labeled with the correct name, x-ray number, and marked for the side of the patient, including initialing all films.\n, • Develop exposed x-ray films using established processing methods.\n, • Complete patient requisitions with appropriate technologist’s initials, date, and film size.\n, • Participate in quality control procedures, documenting actions such as phantom image tests, darkroom fog tests, screen-film contact tests, repeat analyses, and processor quality control, as delegated.\n, • Assist with breast self-examination (BSE) instruction and other patient education, providing pre and post-procedure guidance.\n, • Prepare cases for imaging by organizing necessary charts and films.\n, • Assist in compiling statistics related to patient follow-ups, breast localizations, biopsies, and ultrasound examinations.\n, • Document procedures adhering to quality control and quality assurance standards for mammography in compliance with ACR, MQSA, state, and FDA regulations.\n, • Maintain documentation in the Breast Center chart related to patient information and procedures.\n, • Identify the needs of patients and provide care tailored to demographic factors such as age, culture, and language proficiency.\n, • Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and primary caregivers, considering their developmental and educational levels.\n, • Perform additional duties and/or projects as assigned.\n, • Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.\n\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\n, • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist.\n\n\nEducation Requirements\n\n, • High school diploma or equivalent.\n, • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.\n\n\nCertifications & Licensure\n\n, • Must have ARRT certification.\n, • Mammography certification must be obtained within the first three months of employment.\n, • Active Diagnostic Radiography License is required.\n\n\nSchedule Notes\n\n, • Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 5 days a week.\n, • Contract Duration: 13 Weeks.\n, • Rotating every other weekend (with weekends alternating every couple of months).\n Modern Healthcare Solutions Job ID #36565480.
