About the Role: The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Silver Spring Health & Rehabilitation, 16G, plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to residents and patients. This position focuses on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for individuals under care. The CNA collaborates closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. By providing essential support in hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall well-being and recovery of patients. This role demands a commitment to empathy, attention to detail, and adherence to healthcare protocols to maintain a safe and supportive environment. Minimum Qualifications: • Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by the state., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety protocols., • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility., • Previous experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation facility., • CPR and First Aid certification., • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting., • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure., • Support patient mobility by helping with transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent bedsores., • Provide nutritional support by assisting with feeding and ensuring patients receive proper hydration., • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety procedures., • Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status, concerns, and changes in condition., • Document care provided and observations accurately in patient records in compliance with facility policies. The required skills such as patient care techniques, vital sign monitoring, and safety protocol adherence are applied daily to ensure patients receive attentive and effective support. Communication skills are essential for collaborating with healthcare teams and providing emotional reassurance to patients. Physical stamina and manual dexterity enable the CNA to assist with mobility and personal care tasks safely. Preferred skills like familiarity with electronic health records enhance documentation accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, CPR and First Aid certifications prepare the CNA to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring patient safety at all times. #INDSS (6a-6p)
