What’s a typical day as a Computer Assembler? You’ll be: • Performing various system and component assembly activities according to Standard Operating Procedures and instructions., • Assembling parts or units, and positioning, aligning, and fastening units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools., • Connecting cables, tubes, and wiring according to specifications., • Reading blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units., • Inspecting, testing, and adjusting completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements., • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: • Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)., • Have 0-2+ years of manufacturing assembly experience., • Have previous computer hardware structure knowledge and hands-on experience (a plus)., • Demonstrate manual dexterity for using light power and hand tools., • Are resourceful and results-oriented., • Have a teamwork orientation.
