What You’ll Do • Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, and related technologies, • Advise clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and intellectual property protection, • Work directly with clients on invention disclosures, drafting strategy, and prosecution decisions, • Interpret and apply patent laws, USPTO guidance, and evolving best practices, • Maintain responsibility for docket management, deadlines, and overall matter execution, • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field, • Registration to practice before the USPTO as a patent attorney, • At least 3 years of private practice experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications, • Experience drafting and/or prosecuting a significant number of U.S. patent applications in electrical engineering, computing, or related subject matter Preferred Experience, • Experience managing patent portfolios and advising clients on long-term IP strategy, • Deep familiarity with one or more technical areas such as analog circuitry, digital logic, processor architectures, semiconductor design, power electronics, or embedded systems, • Experience operating with a high degree of independence in client-facing matters Core Traits, • Strong legal writing and analytical ability, • High attention to detail with sound practical judgment, • Self-directed and comfortable operating in a fully remote environment, • Ability to manage deadlines and balance multiple client matters, • Ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Why This Role Is Different We are building a different kind of firm.
