Job Description Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems including water conservation. Additionally, performs routine cemetery services specialist duties. Maintains tools and equipment in working order. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Irrigation • Monitor, inspect, maintain, and repair irrigation systems. Adjust watering schedule seasonally to optimize water conservation. Repair valve box as needed. Operates hand and mechanical tools to repair or replace lines and sprinkler heads taking care to gently remove sod for replanting. Monitors and adjusts sprinkler heads to minimize overspray. Escalate issues to supervisor., • Prepares irrigation systems for adverse weather conditions to prevent breakage. Inspects and repairs after weather events., • Notifies manager when workload is light and volunteers for additional work., • Adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures., • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems (sprinklers, valves, controllers, pumps, etc.), • Perform routine system inspections to ensure proper coverage, • Troubleshoot electrical & mechanical irrigation issues, • Program and adjust irrigation controllers, • Identify leaks, pressure issues, and coverage deficiencies, • Coordinate with maintenance and grounds teams, • 1–2 years of irrigation installation and repair experience (preferred), • Knowledge of irrigation controllers and system components, • Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting, • Valid driver’s license (required) Cemetery Services • Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments, • Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers, • Installs outer burial containers, • Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance, • Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders, • Conducts Interment Verification Procedures, • Conducts 25 foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat, • Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods, • Adheres to all Company safety rules and Universal Precautions, • Maintains and protects Company assets by performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities, • Maintains a clean and orderly work area, • This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the essential functions or duties related to this job MINIMUM Requirements Education • Self manages workload to deliver quality work on time., • Consistently applies procedures, regulations, and policies producing compliant and efficient results., • Works independently; as needed requests work be peer reviewed for accuracy and improvement., • Ability to complete non-routine work applying experience and knowledge of procedures, regulations, and policies; escalates complex and unique issues for guidance., • Exhibits accountability for work and behaviors., • Takes the initiative to discuss assignments, expectations, priorities and deadlines as well as seek guidance and coaching from manager.
