Job DescriptionSalary: Superintendent Charlotte, NC Job Summary We are seeking a qualifiedConstruction Superintendentto lead field operations on commercial restoration and renovation projects. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing crews on active restoration job sites, understands the complexities of MEP system replacement, and is skilled in working within partially occupied or damaged buildings. Equipment operation training and the ability to lead with a safety-first mindset are essential. This role is critical in delivering safe, high-quality, and on-time outcomes in challenging environments. Key Responsibilities • Supervise all onsite activities from demolition through project turnover., • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and trades to ensure schedule, budget, and quality compliance., • Monitor progress and ensure adherence to contract documents, restoration protocols, and safety codes., • Oversee site logistics, material handling, and equipment use to support safe and efficient operations., • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies., • Identify and mitigate risks unique to restoration work, including fire, water, mold, and structural issues., • Collaborate with the Project Manager and design team to resolve field issues and execute changes., • Collaborate effectively with other superintendents, foremen, and field personnel on multi-crew or multi-phase projects to ensure smooth coordination and project continuity., • Maintain consistent communication with clients, property managers, and team members especially in partially occupied facilities., • Document progress using daily reports, field notes, punch lists, and meeting summaries., • Assist in pre-construction planning and sequencing specific to restoration (e.g., selective demo, containment, system shutdowns)., • Safely operate or supervise operation of construction equipment such as skid steers, lifts, swing stages, and forklifts. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred., • 3+ years of field experience in commercial renovation or restoration; 1+ year in a supervisory role preferred., • Strong experience with MEP system replacement and working in partially occupied or live environments., • Valid certifications for operating equipment (e.g., skid steer, forklift, aerial lift) strongly preferred., • Working knowledge of structural, fire, water, and mold restoration practices., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Procore experience required., • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and safety/code requirements (OSHA, ADA, IBC)., • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; able to work both independently and with teams., • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other site superintendents and field leaders to manage overlapping scopes, shared resources, and site logistics., • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation., • Physically able to navigate active job sites including climbing ladders and working in varying site and weather conditions., • Ability and willingness to work overtime or travel locally/regionally as needed., • Must be able to pass a background check.
