    REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – PART-TIME Holmdel Adult Medical Day Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Registered Nurse to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality care for our participants while assisting with admissions, assessments, Medicaid-related documentation, care planning, and regulatory compliance. Compensation: Starting at $35.00 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and knowledge of Adult Medical Day Care operations, Medicaid requirements, and participant eligibility processes. Position Requirements: • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing, • Current BLS/CPR Certification, • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an Adult Medical Day Care (AMDC) setting required, • Experience working with seniors, disabled adults, and medically complex participants, • Strong knowledge of New Jersey Medicaid, NJ FamilyCare, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), • Familiarity with Horizon NJ Health, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, WellCare, Aetna Better Health, Amerigroup, and other Medicaid managed care plans preferred, • Experience completing nursing assessments, participant evaluations, care plans, re-certifications, and annual reassessments, • Knowledge of medical necessity requirements and documentation needed for participant enrollment and continued eligibility, • Ability to coordinate with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, and family members, • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills, • Proficiency with electronic medical records and general computer applications Primary Responsibilities: • Conduct participant assessments and nursing evaluations, • Assist with admissions and enrollment processes, • Complete and maintain participant medical records and care plans, • Ensure all required Medicaid and managed care documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner, • Monitor participants’ health status and communicate changes to physicians and families as appropriate, • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, • Maintain compliance with New Jersey Department of Health regulations and Adult Medical Day Care requirements, • Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and regulatory compliance activities, • Support state surveys, audits, and inspections We are looking for a nurse who is knowledgeable, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors and adults with disabilities. Attends, completes, and maintains State and NYC H+H training requirements., 16. May operate a motor vehicle., 17. May assist in supervising contracted security guards., 18. In the temporary absence of the supervisor may perform the supervisor's duties., 19. Performs related duties, as required. Minimum Qualifications 1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization; or an Individualized Education Program (IEP)diploma; and six (6) months of full-time work experience; and 1. Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)through the American Heart Association (AHA). Once obtained, this certification must be maintained for the duration of employment. 1. Candidates must have reached their 20th birthday by the date of appointment; and 1. Candidates must be residents of the City of New York at the time of appointment and you must thereafter maintain City residency as a continuing condition of employment. However, if you have two(2) years of employment with the NYC Health + Hospitals, you may be a resident of Nassau, Westchester, Suffolk, Orange, Rockland or Putnam counties; and 1. Candidates must satisfy the training requirements established by the State of New York for Peace Officer certification prior to beginning their official tour of duty.
