Job DescriptionJob Title: A&P Lead Mechanic Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 Location: Jacksonville, FL Shift: 1st shift | M-F Job Description We are seeking a skilled A&P Lead Mechanic to join our team, responsible for repairing and maintaining both piston and turbine-powered propeller-driven aircraft. The role involves inspecting aircraft and troubleshooting resulting 'squawks' to provide appropriate repairs and solutions, encompassing airframe, powerplant, and other mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues as required. Additionally, the position requires training, understanding, and executing company safety programs. Responsibilities • Repair and maintain piston and turbine-powered propeller-driven aircraft., • Inspect aircraft and troubleshoot 'squawks' to determine necessary repairs and solutions., • Address airframe, powerplant, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues as required., • Repair and troubleshooting expertise in general aviation maintenance., • Piston engine maintenance experience., • A&P license., • 7+ years of turboprop/fixed wing general aviation/piston engine airframe experience., • Minimum 7+ years of experience with maintenance of piston and turboprop-powered aircraft such as Cirrus, Piper, Cessna, Mooney, Beechcraft, Pilatus., • Skill in inspecting and examining aircraft components for leaks, cracks, breaks, or other issues., • Ability to read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and other maintenance documents., • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring/testing instruments., • Good mechanical and mathematical ability including the ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints and schematics., • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task, plan, and manage time effectively., • Effective verbal and written communication skills, both within the company and with customer logbooks and other correspondence., • Demonstrated experience working as a team, including communicating with all levels of a diverse workforce., • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification., • Ability to work independently, without regular supervision. Work Environment Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Candidates should live within 30 minutes of the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
