As a CNC Systems Field Support Specialist, you’ll be a trusted on-site expert who keeps mission-critical machine tools performing at their best. Why this role matters • Uptime is everything: you’ll install, commission, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and accessories at customer sites., • Customers rely on your expertise for operator training, system networking, software setup, preventive maintenance, alignments, major component swaps, overhauls/refurbs, upgrades/retrofits, and machine un-installs., • Your insights travel: you provide a direct communication link to the Service Group of the Robert E. Morris Company and pass along voice-of-customer feedback to strengthen our brand loyalty., • You’ll document work and manage cases in Salesforce Lightning Customer Support. What you’ll bring, • Ability or willingness to learn to interpret mechanical drawings; electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics; PLC ladder diagrams; and to use diagnostic test equipment to resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and control systems., • Strong verbal and written communication with a polished, professional presence; confidence interacting with customers and colleagues by phone and in person., • Comfort with change and shifting priorities; steady under pressure., • PC literacy with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Electro-mechanical aptitude (motors, drives, transformers). Experience in machine tool manufacturing/installation/operation/maintenance/repair or a broad shop background is a plus., • Logical troubleshooting, mechanical reasoning, and sound decision-making. Where you’ll work, • On the road daily from home to customer facilities within your territory, with occasional overnight hotel stays for remote jobs or training., • Typical environments include machining/manufacturing settings with exposure to noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated/manual machinery; you’ll also spend time in office and training environments at the Robert E. Morris Company.
