Job DescriptionJob Title: Equipment Quality Assurance and Packaging AssociateJob Description This role ensures that all customer orders are accurately picked, verified through a quality assurance process, properly packaged, and shipped. The Equipment Quality Assurance and Packaging Associate reviews packing slips, compares them against package contents, and removes any inaccurate packages from production before they leave the facility. This position also supports final packaging and shipment preparation as needed to keep orders moving efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities • Review packing lists for each order and verify that all required items are correctly included in every package., • Weigh, count, and visually inspect materials to confirm accuracy, ensuring that part numbers on supplies, materials, and equipment match the packing documentation., • Determine the appropriate conveyor system for each package by scanning barcodes, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers, and memorizing relevant routing information, then sort packages accordingly., • Pack boxes using appropriate shipping materials and ensure that each shipment includes correct labeling, documentation, and postage., • Monitor inventory levels of shipping and packaging materials and promptly notify the appropriate team member when supplies are low., • Perform packaging inventory tasks, including boxing, sealing, and preparing materials and equipment for shipment., • Use an online exceptions management system to communicate with clients regarding order issues, discrepancies, or special handling requirements., • Collaborate closely with other fulfillment departments to ensure all eligible packages are processed and sent out on time., • Assist shipping teams with final packaging and shipment preparation after orders have passed quality assurance checks., • Identify and report anomalies or discrepancies in order contents, documentation, or labeling, and pull inaccurate packages out of production for correction.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of experience working in a quality inspection department, preferably within an electronics-related environment., • At least 1 year of shipping experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution setting., • Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes in a packaging or warehouse environment., • Proficiency using RF scanners for scanning packages, verifying part numbers, and routing shipments., • Ability to perform accurate visual inspections, including checking labels, part numbers, and packaging integrity., • Strong attention to detail when comparing packing slips to package contents and identifying discrepancies., • Capability to weigh, count, and verify materials and equipment accurately., • Experience with warehouse packing and order pulling in a fast-paced environment., • Basic computer literacy and ability to use online systems, including an exceptions management system, for client communication and order tracking.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience working with electronics, payment terminals, or similar equipment in a repair, refurbishment, or quality control environment., • Familiarity with quality assurance and packaging best practices in a warehouse or fulfillment center., • Comfort working with conveyor systems and understanding package routing processes., • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external clients regarding order status and exceptions., • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously., • Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and quality standards.Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility focuses on repairing and refurbishing ATM checkout swipe machines and returning them to retail locations. Approximately 20 employees work across five departments dedicated to inspecting, repairing, and preparing machines for shipment. The role operates in a warehouse and fulfillment setting with conveyor systems, RF scanners, and packaging equipment. The standard shift for this position runs from 10:00 AM, supporting daytime operations in a structured, production-oriented environment where attention to detail and adherence to processes are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
