Tesco Controls, a UFT company, is seeking an HR Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Sacramento, California. The HR Specialist supports daily HR operations by enforcing policies, coordinating performance and talent development programs, and serving as the primary resource for employee relations. This role manages workers’ compensation, leads onsite onboarding and new‑hire orientation, maintains accurate employee records, and acts as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries. The HR Specialist also provides backup support for payroll to ensure accurate employee data and smooth processing.What you will do: • Enforce HR policies, platform standards, and compliance requirements, • Support performance management processes, including coaching leaders and coordinating review cycles, • Manage workers’ compensation cases and maintain required documentation, • Assist with talent development, training initiatives, and employee growth programs, • Serve as the local resource for employee relations, addressing concerns and guiding managers, • Coordinate and conduct onsite onboarding and new hire orientation, • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and managers, • Maintain accurate employee records and collaborate with HR partners on benefits, onboarding, and daily operations, • Assist and acts as back up to processing full‑cycle payroll by ensuring employee data is accurate and up to dateBackground/Experience:, • 3–5+ years of HR related experience., • Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems (Paylocity experience preferred)., • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, etc.)., • Strong communication and customer service skills., • Knowledge of benefits administration and HR processes., • Ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion. Compensation:, • $65k - $85k, • Pay will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. The posted range reflects our current expectations but may change.
