Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform basic laboratory tests and X-ray procedures when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices. Support emergency medicine procedures as needed in urgent care settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology. Experience working in geriatrics, hospital settings, or urgent care environments. Familiarity with both inpatient and outpatient care processes. Proficient in performing X-ray procedures and understanding radiological protocols. Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations typical of emergency medicine settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.     Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention Special Educator to join our growing team on Long Island. This provider will work with infants and toddlers (ages birth–3) and their families in the home or community setting under New York State Early Intervention (EI) guidelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of child development, individualized instruction, and family-centered practice, with a commitment to helping young learners build foundational skills through play-based, developmentally appropriate interventions. Responsibilities: • Foster warm, trusting relationships with children and caregivers while supporting growth through play, daily routines, and family-guided learning strategies., • Provide in-home special instruction services to infants and toddlers as part of the New York State Early Intervention Program., • Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based teaching methods that encourage communication, social skills, independence, and engagement., • Partner with families by modeling techniques, offering guidance, and helping them embed learning opportunities throughout everyday activities., • Complete daily EI session notes and ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with program requirements., • Maintain organized records, track progress, and collaborate consistently with service coordinators and other IFSP team members., • Prepare and submit 6-month EI Progress Reports, contributing to IFSP reviews and ongoing service planning., • Monitor child development using informal and formal assessment tools, adjusting strategies based on observable growth and data collection.
