Job Details Job Family/Functional Area: Job Title: Nursing House Supervisor Alternative/Previous Job Title(s): Nursing Supervisor Reports To (Position): Director of Nursing Treatment Setting: Inpatient Residential Treatment Facility with or without Detoxification Unit; may support PHP and IOP settings as applicable Facility/Program: Bradford Health Services Residential and Outpatient Programs Role Type: Onsite, Remote, Hybrid Onsite FLSA Status: Employment Status (FT/PT/PRN): Date Created/Revised: Non-Exempt Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN March 2, 2026 (revised) Position Summary The House Supervisor (Nursing Supervisor) provides administrative and clinical oversight for nursing and clinical operations during assigned shifts within inpatient residential treatment facilities, Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Programs, with or without detoxification services. This role functions as the senior clinical authority on-site during non-business hours or designated supervisory shifts and ensures safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations. The House Supervisor supports nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary communication, oversees patient care delivery, ensures adherence to regulatory standards, and escalates clinical or operational concerns as appropriate. The House Supervisor supports organizational operations across multistate facilities (TN, TX, VA, FL, NC, IN, MS, AL). Required Hiring Criteria (minimum qualifications) • Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment, in good standing with the applicable state Board of Nursing, • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or detoxification services, • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting, • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification;, • Ability to pass background screening, drug screening, and credential verification in accordance with regulatory requirements, • Strong knowledge of state Nurse Practice Acts, medication management standards, and healthcare compliance requirements Desired Qualifications • Experience inResidential/IOP/PHPsubstance use disorder treatment facilities, • Experience overseeing detoxification protocols and MAT services, • Familiarity with Joint Commission, CARF, or other accreditation standards, • Experience managing multi-unit or multi-level care environments, • Serve as the senior clinical leader on-site during assigned shifts, • Provide operational and clinical oversight to nursing staff and support personnel, • Monitor patient acuity and ensure appropriate staffing assignments and coverage, • Provide guidance to Charge Nurses and nursing staff regarding clinical decision-making and patient care concerns, • Respond to and manage medical emergencies and critical incidents, • Ensure detoxification protocols and medication administration processes are followed in accordance with provider orders and regulatory standards, • Monitor compliance with documentation standards, controlled substance management, and infection control policies, • Facilitate communication between nursing, medical providers, counseling staff, and administrative leadership, • Escalate significant clinical, safety, or operational concerns to the Director of Nursing or executive leadership as appropriate, • Participate inPerformance Improvementinitiatives and support regulatory survey readiness, • Assist with staff mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback asassigned, • Ensure a safe therapeutic environment for patients and staff This position has shift-based supervisory responsibilities. • Direct Reports–Nursingandother assignedstaff during shift, • Level of Authority-Provides clinical and operational oversight during assigned shifts; delegates tasks within scope of practice, • Hiring-May participate in interview processes upon request, • Disciplinary Action-May provide input to Director of Nursing, • Performance Evaluation Oversight-Provides documented feedback as requested, • Scheduling-May coordinate staffing adjustments during assigned shiftand assist with coordinating staffing coverage for open shifts as needed/as assigned., • Physical Activities – Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and computer documentation, • Weight/Lifting Requirements – Ability to lift and/or assist with up to 50 pounds, • Visual/Auditory/Dexterity demands – Ability to assess patient condition, read medication labels and documentation, and communicate clearly, • Environmental Factors – Clinical/residential treatment setting; potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens; PPE required as applicable, • Setting – Inpatient residential treatment facility with or without detoxification services, • Schedule expectations – Primarily evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as operationally required, • Communication-Demonstrates clear, decisive, and professional communication during routine and crisis situations, • Leadership -Provides confident and effective shift-based leadership, • Professionalism-Maintains professional boundaries and organizational standards, Maintains RN licensure and adheres to ethical nursing standards, • Customer Service-Provides respectful, responsive, and patient-centered service,Promotes a patient-centered, trauma-informed approach to care, • Accountability-Demonstrates reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail in documentation and coordination tasks,Ensures compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements, • Teamwork-Leads and collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams, • Complies with HIPAA, OSHA, DEA requirements, state Nurse Practice Acts, and applicable licensing and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF as applicable), • Ensures accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory standards, • Maintains active and unrestricted RN licensure and reports any status changes immediately, • Duties may change as business needsevolve, • This Job Description does not constitute an employment contract
