This dual role includes maintaining vigilant supervision of the pool area as a lifeguard and delivering high-quality swim lessons that cater to the diverse needs of participants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of water safety protocols, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing inclusive and engaging instruction to individuals of all ages and abilities. Schedule of Life Guard/Swim Instructor: Part-Time Hours- 12 Hours Per Week: Monday thru Thursday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm or Weekend Hours Essential Duties Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Lifeguarding Duties: • Monitor the pool area to ensure a safe and secure environment for all swimmers., • Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations., • Respond promptly to emergencies, performing water rescues, administering first aid, and utilizing CPR/AED as needed., • Conduct routine checks of pool equipment, including safety and rescue equipment, and report any maintenance needs., • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and water quality checks., • Plan, organize, and conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, catering to a wide range of ages and skill levels., • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles, ensuring all participants feel supported and encouraged., • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and caregivers to provide progress updates and address any concerns., • Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes confidence, skill development, and a love for swimming.
