Overview: Offering an $8,000 sign-on bonus Novant Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work in a secondary school setting. Signing Bonus Eligible. Primary responsibilities will be at a local area high school with cross-coverage as needed throughout Novant Health facilities and on-site athletic training coverage at sporting events. Evaluates, plans, directs, documents, and administers programs of athletic training and rehabilitation. Performs supervisory duties and participates in continuing education. Music Instruction: * Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows * Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs * Create and document thoughtful lesson plans Customer Connection: * Communicate regularly with parents on the progress of students after lessons * Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school * Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program * Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance at school * Assist in recruiting and enrolling students Skill Requirements: * 4 + years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally * Has a passion for and/or experience working with children under the age of seven (7) * Classroom/early childhood education experience preferred. * Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design; concepts in music like rhythm, notation, pop and rock genres * Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers, including but not limited to, children and parents * Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor * Strong organizational skills * Very strong customer relations skills on the phone and in person * Resourceful and good problem-solver * Works well under pressure * The ideal candidate is proficient on at least one: guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, voice. * Good judgment is a must * Part-time, some weekend day availability required.
