Were looking for a full-time Business Instructor & Coach (Spanish-English) to deliver our 9-week entrepreneurship course and provide personalized coaching to help early-stage entrepreneurs primarily from SEDI (Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals) backgrounds build strong, successful small businesses. About Ventures Ventures is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with limited resources. We provide culturally relevant business training, coaching, incubation, and access to capital all offered in both English and Spanish. Our clients are immigrants, women, and people from BIPOC and low-income communities working to launch a new business idea or grow an existing business. What Youll Do As our Bilingual Business Foundations Specialist, youll be the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs. Youll deliver our signature 9-week entrepreneurship class in Spanish and provide one-on-one coaching to help clients overcome barriers, set goals, and take action in their business journey. Key Responsibilities: • Teach the 9-week Ventures Business Basics Course in Spanish, using culturally responsive and inclusive teaching methods., • Offer one-on-one coaching to Spanish-speaking clients to help them apply course concepts and complete a business feasibility analysis as their capstone project., • Prepare clients for sustainable business launch and growth by building skills in marketing, sales, finance, and operationsincluding market research, pricing strategies, and basic financial systems., • Guide clients through the next phase of Ventures milestone-based curriculum (VentureTrack) following completion of the feasibility analysis., • Maintain accurate documentation of coaching sessions and client advancement through VentureTrack milestones., • Collaborate with other team members to adapt curriculum, improve systems, and strengthen our impact Qualifications We know that lived experience, passion, and cultural understanding are just as important as formal education or job titles. We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) instructor and coach with: Required: • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, including ability to teach and coach business concepts in both languages., • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly Spanish-speaking and SEDI communities., • Experience facilitating group classes or workshops, ideally with adult learners., • Ability to deliver and adapt curriculum to be culturally relevant, engaging, and empowering., • Experience providing individual coaching, mentoring, or technical assistance to entrepreneurs., • Understanding of small business fundamentals, including marketing and sales, pricing, finance, and operations., • Demonstrated ability to support entrepreneurs in developing business plans and financial projections., • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse backgrounds., • Comfort using digital tools, including Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Workspace., • Ability to work in-office at our location four days per week for the first 90 days, then a minimum of 2 days per week thereafter., • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business and financial reports., • The ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, and twist as needed, manipulate items with fingers as needed, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds unassisted., • The ability to assist with classroom set up and moving tables and light chairs., • The ability to operate a computer regularly, visually inspect business documents including financial reports regularly, and effectively communicate verbally and in written format regularly. Preferred: • Personal or family experience with owning or operating a small business., • Experience working directly with underrepresented, Spanish-speaking and/or low-income communities., • Familiarity with microenterprise development, asset building, or community lending., • Experience in nonprofit, adult education, or CDFI settings., • A resourceful and collaborative mindset with a willingness to grow and adapt.
