Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/14/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 14, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), a critical care step-down unit within a 528-bed tertiary care hospital, • Receives patients from the ED, PACU, ICU, and med-surg floors, • Adult acute care patient population requiring more specialized monitoring and intervention than a general med-surg unit, • Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 (MedSurg acuity), • All patients on continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring, • Cares for patients requiring airway management, acute BiPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV medication infusions, • Cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management required, • Peripheral IV line care and management performed, • Respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management, • Isolation precaution protocols in use, • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 1900–0700, • Every other weekend required, • Floating required, • Epic EMR — experience requiredRequirements, • Active NY RN license currently in hand — no exceptions, • Current BLS certification required, • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, • Epic EMR experience required, • Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio, • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team participation, • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration, • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for considerationAdditional Information, • Multidisciplinary team approach to patient care in a fast-paced, step-down environment, • Team is expected to adapt quickly and provide vigilant, compassionate, evidence-based care, • Scrub color: any combination of navy and white, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
