Job DescriptionAssembler - Medium Voltage Job Description Join our team in the manufacturing and assembly of Industrial Power Systems in a heavy-industrial manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of the system, working with sheet metal and assembling the metal enclosures. This role requires the use of hand and power tools, including drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and impact tools. You will be assembling units based on blueprints and will work collaboratively in teams. The job involves standing, stooping, and bending throughout the day to access various assemblies, with some tasks performed inside units that are approximately 8 feet tall. Steel-toe shoes are required from your first day. Responsibilities • Manufacture and assemble industrial power systems., • Perform mechanical assembly, working with sheet metal and metal enclosures., • Use hand and power tools, including drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and impact tools., • Assemble units based on blueprints., • Work in teams to complete assembly tasks., • Stand, stoop, and bend throughout the day to access various assemblies., • Experience with manufacturing assembly., • Proficiency in using hand and power tools., • Ability to read blueprints., • Ability to read a tape measure., • Capability to stand for entire shifts., • Experience in manufacturing assembly is preferred., • This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for a pay raise, profit sharing, benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401k upon conversion to a permanent employee., • Profit sharing bonuses are paid out quarterly, typically equating to about $1 extra per hour., • As part of an expanding workforce, you will have opportunities for advancement, cross-training in new departments, and skill development in areas such as wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, and electrical testing., • 100% Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance covered by Employer. You will work in a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is not climate-controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans help keep the air moving. The area is equipped with forklifts and manufacturing machinery, and safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required due to the noise from CNC machinery and fabrication activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
