Job DescriptionExperienced residential HVAC tech? Our technicians average $45–$55/hour effective ($90K–$115K+ annually) — and unlike most shops, we'll show you the full written pay plan, line by line, in your first interview. Who We Are Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating is a locally owned, NATE-certified HVAC company serving Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and the greater Austin metro (TACLA77365E). We've earned a 4.9-star reputation by doing things right — honest diagnostics, quality repairs, and real options for customers instead of pressure. We're a small, tight-knit team, and we're intentional about who we add to it. How the Pay Actually Works This is performance-based pay with real, published numbers — not a mystery formula: • 20% commission on repairs you sell and complete — capacitors, motors, boards, thermostats, and everything in between, • 3% commission on full system replacements you turn over to our Comfort Advisors — they close it, you still get paid, • Flat rate on the service items commissions don't cover — maintenance visits, warranty work, training, meetings, etc., • Service-call fees stack with commission — you earn the diagnostic fee and the repair commission on the same visit, • Overtime calculated on your full earnings — commissions and spiffs included in the rate, not just base pay (RROP), • PTO paid at your average effective rate — if you earn like a $50/hr tech, your time off pays like it too Our experienced techs average $45–$55/hr effective. Skilled techs who communicate well with customers win under this plan — that's exactly who it was built for. Why Techs Move Here • No pressure selling. We present good/better/best options honestly. Your commission comes from doing right by customers, not squeezing them., • A team that has your back. Small crew, experienced dispatchers, an office that actually communicates with customers so you're not fielding angry calls in a 110°ree; attic., • Year-round work. Strong maintenance membership base keeps the schedule full in shoulder seasons — no winter layoffs. What You'll Do • Run residential HVAC maintenance, service, and repair calls with accuracy and professionalism, • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and explain findings in plain English, • Present repair vs. replacement options straightforwardly — real choices, not pressure, • Document work thoroughly in ServiceTitan, • Represent Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating with the same care you'd bring to your own home What You Bring Required: • TDLR ACR technician registration in good standing (you'll work under our contractor license), • EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred), • 2+ years hands-on residential service and repair experience — this is not an entry-level role, • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, • Physical readiness for Texas summers: attics, crawlspaces, rooftops Bonus points: • TDLR Certified Technician or Contractor License, • Experience with American Standard / Trane equipment and communicating thermostats, • Comfort presenting good/better/best options to homeowners Benefits • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance - Supplemental benefits available, • PTO accrual starting after 90 days — paid at your effective rate, not base, • 401(k) with up to 4% match after 1 year - Paid training - Weekly pay Apply in 60 Seconds Send your resume — or just your name, years of experience, and certifications — and we'll respond within 2 business days.
