We have an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as the Senior Director, Plant Operations of our East Rutherford facility. You will be the senior site leader responsible for the overall performance, safety, Grandma Quality, controls, culture, and financial results of the manufacturing facility. This role serves as the plants general manager, accountable for translating enterprise strategy into consistent, disciplined execution with excellence at the site level. The Senior Director leads through people, systems, and standards, ensuring production, FSQA, maintenance, warehousing, and workforce leadership operate in alignment with Grandma Quality. This role balances results with responsibility, honoring Mamas heritage while building scalable, sustainable operations. The Director, Trade Strategy is responsible for leading the development, execution, and optimization of the Companys trade strategy, promotional investment approach, pricing support, customer profitability analysis, and commercial planning processes across the enterprise. This role serves as a strategic business partner to Sales, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, and Executive Leadership to help drive profitable growth, improve trade investment effectiveness, strengthen margin performance, support costing and pricing initiatives, and align commercial strategy with enterprise financial objectives. This role plays a critical part in improving commercial discipline, customer analytics, trade governance, costing visibility, and strategic decision-making. The Director, Trade Strategy is expected to demonstrate Mamas commitment to craftsmanship through thoughtful analysis, operational rigor, and high-quality execution; honor our heritage through responsible stewardship of pricing, trade investment, and customer relationships; and nurture relationships through collaborative partnership, communication, and cross-functional alignment across the organization. --- Key Responsibilities Develop and manage enterprise trade strategy and promotional investment frameworks Partner with Sales leadership to evaluate promotional effectiveness, pricing strategies, customer profitability, and trade spend optimization Support annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and customer growth initiatives Analyze market trends, customer performance, competitive activity, and promotional effectiveness to support strategic decision-making Develop recommendations to improve trade ROI, margin performance, and revenue growth Support product costing, pricing analysis, and margin evaluation across product lines and customer programs Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Sales to improve costing visibility and pricing accuracy Analyze raw material, production, freight, and operational cost drivers impacting profitability Support pricing recommendations, customer pricing strategies, and profitability improvement initiatives Assist in identifying opportunities for margin enhancement, operational efficiency, and cost optimization Partner closely with Finance to improve visibility into trade spending, deductions, promotional effectiveness, and customer profitability Support financial modeling, scenario analysis, forecasting, and strategic business planning Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPI visibility related to trade investment performance, costing, and commercial effectiveness Identify risks, opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives through data analysis and business insights Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Marketing to align commercial initiatives with operational capabilities and business objectives Support alignment between customer demand, promotional planning, inventory management, and operational execution Participate in customer planning discussions and strategic business reviews, as needed Help improve communication, coordination, and execution consistency across commercial functions Support development of scalable trade governance, pricing controls, approval processes, reporting standards, and operational controls Improve visibility and accountability related to trade spending, customer programs, deductions, costing, and promotional commitments Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen commercial planning processes Support implementation and optimization of ERP, reporting, and analytics tools related to commercial strategy and trade management Serve as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership on commercial growth opportunities, trade strategy, and pricing decisions Support a culture of accountability, operational discipline, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement Mentor and support team members, while fostering collaboration and enterprise thinking across departments --- Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related field required 10+ years of progressive experience in trade strategy, pricing, costing, sales finance, commercial analytics, revenue management, or related functions Experience within consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or related industries strongly preferred Experience supporting large retail, club, grocery, or foodservice customers preferred Strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities Experience with product costing, pricing analysis, margin management, and customer profitability evaluation Advanced Excel and data analysis proficiency required Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, and business analytics platforms (NetSuite preferred) Experience with trade promotion management, pricing strategy, or revenue management preferred Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning processes --- Essential Physical Requirements Ability to remain stationery and work at a computer for extended periods of time Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for computer, keyboard, and office equipment operation Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to analyze detailed business, financial, and operational information with strong attention to detail Ability to occasionally travel between Company locations, customer meetings, or industry events Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Ability to work in both office and operational environments, as needed
