Job Description JUNIOR PRODUCT MANAGER PROFILE – WAM Inc (Bulk Handling Components) ???? Role Mission The Junior Product Manager (JPM) supports the Local Product Managers in growing the sales and performance of specific product families within the North American market. The role focuses on product knowledge, customer support, training, competitive analysis, and coordination with WAMGROUP HQ. It is designed as an entry‑level route toward becoming a fully independent Local Product Manager. Core Responsibilities 1. Product Support & Application Assistance • Assist Local Product Managers in providing technical support to customers, distributors, and sales teams., • Help analyze customer applications related to bulk solids handling (e.g., screw conveyors, rotary valves, dust filtration, feeding systems)., • Prepare basic product selections, preliminary sizing, and technical clarifications. 2. Market Feedback & Product Improvement • Collect field feedback on product performance, customer needs, and recurring issues., • Support the identification of product changes that could improve market acceptance in the U.S. (one of the LPM's duties)., • Monitor competitor offerings and assist in mapping strengths and weaknesses of WAM’s product range. 3. Sales Enablement & Training • Help ensure the sales force has the right tools, documentation, and training materials., • Assist in preparing slide decks, product presentations, technical datasheets, and training sessions., • Support product promotion activities in collaboration with the Marketing Manager (as LPM responsibility). 4. Inventory & Supply Chain Support • Contribute to product data gathering for stock policy definitions (LPM task)., • Help track demand trends and coordinate with supply chain regarding new items, phase‑outs, and stock optimization. 5. Cross‑Functional Coordination • Collaborate with WAMGROUP Corporate Product Managers for updates, required support, and product knowledge transfer., • Participate in internal meetings with Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Required Skills Technical Skills • Basic understanding of mechanical components used in bulk handling equipment., • Ability to read technical documentation and learn sizing guidelines., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)., • Proactive, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks., • Good communication skills for supporting sales teams and interfacing with HQ., • Analytical mindset, capable of gathering and structuring information., • Fluent English is required; Spanish or Italian are advantageous. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business/Technical Management, or related fields., • 0–3 years of experience in technical customer support, application engineering, product support, or sales engineering in an industrial environment., • Experience with powder & solids handling equipment is a plus but not required for entry level.
