Job Description As a Senior System Programmer at Tek Spikes, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing system-level software solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability across our platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to understand technical requirements, design architecture, and implement robust features while adhering to industry best practices. You will leverage your deep understanding of programming languages and system architecture to support the overall objectives of the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain system-level software, focusing on performance and resource optimization., • Work closely with software architects and developers to implement system integrations and enhancements., • Analyze system requirements and technical specifications to ensure alignment with project goals., • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, ensuring that fixes are robust and scalable., • Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and provide mentorship to junior team members., • Document software designs, technical specifications, and system interfaces., • Research and recommend new technologies or tools that could enhance system performance or reliability., • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to system programming and development., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a System Programmer or similar role, with a minimum of 5+ years in system-level programming., • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java., • Experience with operating systems and system-level programming, including Linux or Windows environments., • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system architecture., • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks is a plus., • Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile methodologies., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment., • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Job Description This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Programmer will be responsible for the overall success of software design, database creation, and the implementation of procedures and standards used in the programming of controls projects. This requires travel in New York and is fully onsite. Essential Functions: An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. • Breakdown scope of work into manageable segments and coordinate with Project Manager for scheduling., • Follow sequence of operations as required by project documents according to company standards., • Develop and create system graphics., • Integrate to third party equipment through BACnet and/or Modbus protocol., • Troubleshoot and correct BMS integration issues alongside Field Technicians., • Mentor Junior Programmers., • Act as Programming Team Lead on projects as required or necessary., • Support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives., • Support quality and safety standards, specifications and policies, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiencies., • Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance., • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered., • 5 or more years relevant work experience in the field or relate area that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job., • Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative is preferred, • Familiarity with building controls hardware and network architecture and mechanical HVAC equipment is required., • Commitment to our “open door” policy and regular contact with all field employees., • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation., • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
