Job Description Job Title: Porter / Facilities Cleaner The Porter / Facilities Cleaner helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the facility by supporting daily cleaning operations in restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, break areas, and common spaces. This role ensures all areas remain well-maintained, sanitized, and fully stocked during both day and overnight shifts. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and committed to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and mirrors, to maintain a hygienic environment., • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust offices, hallways, meeting rooms, and common areas on a regular schedule., • Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and dispose of waste in designated areas., • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper to ensure all restrooms and common areas remain fully stocked., • Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, and other frequently used fixtures., • Maintain cleanliness and organization in break rooms and kitchen areas, including wiping surfaces and managing waste., • Respond promptly and professionally to cleaning or maintenance requests from staff or facility users., • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns such as spills, damages, or low inventory of supplies., • Safely use, maintain, and store cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals in accordance with company guidelines., • Follow all company safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe chemical handling practices., • Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, such as deep cleaning, event clean-up, or seasonal tasks., • Complete work orders and related housekeeping tasks accurately and on time, as needed. Essential Skills • Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to cleanliness and sanitation., • Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and general janitorial work., • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively across multiple areas of the facility., • Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude when interacting with coworkers and facility users., • Good communication and customer service skills to respond effectively to requests and convey issues or concerns., • Basic knowledge of safety practices, including proper chemical handling and safe use of cleaning equipment., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately; bilingual communication skills are a plus., • High school diploma or GED., • Knowledge of cleaning tools, equipment, and standard cleaning techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years of janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred., • Experience working in office, industrial, or commercial environments is a plus., • Familiarity with completing work orders and documenting housekeeping or maintenance tasks., • Ability to adapt to different areas of the facility, including restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, and common spaces., • Willingness to work day, evening, overnight, or flexible shifts as needed. The schedule may include day or overnight shifts, with occasional overtime or on-call support for urgent cleaning or maintenance situations. You will regularly use standard cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals, and you will follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
