Job DescriptionLocation: Embassy Suites La Jolla, San DiegoPay Range: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (non-exempt), depending on experience and qualifications.Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, guest-focused Group Coordinator to support group and event operations at our hotel. This role is responsible for coordinating group-related activities across departments, facilitating clear communication, organizing meetings, and ensuring all group details, timelines, and deliverables are executed seamlessly. The ideal candidate thrives in a hospitality environment, enjoys collaboration, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and schedule group-related meetings and briefings, considering internal departments' and stakeholders' availability. * Serve as a liaison between sales, events, front office, F&B, and other hotel departments to ensure group needs are met. * Maintain accurate records of group bookings, room blocks, event details, contracts, timelines, and changes. * Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure clarity on group objectives, deadlines, and service expectations. * Assist in resolving operational issues or conflicts related to group stays or events. * Monitor group progress and event execution, reporting updates and outcomes to hotel management. * Support team leaders in achieving group revenue, service, and guest satisfaction goals. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * Previous experience in hotel group coordination, events, sales support, or hospitality operations preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in Salesforce FDC, OnQ, R&I, and Microsoft Office. Schedule * This position may require evenings, weekends, and holidays based on group and hotel operational needs.
