Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months., • Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience., • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months., • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission)., • This role will require floating to multiple units, • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local., • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted., • Flu vaccination required for submission. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience: Skills: IV therapy, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, GI surgery, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, IV insulin protocols, Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Preferred Skills/Experience: The unit would prefer a candidate that has experience in Cardiac experience. ECMO, Cardiac, LVAD, Impella, Balloon Pumps, though not a firm requirement. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of the patient on ECMO, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), ECMO, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Nurse driven ECMO protocols, Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Valve Replacement/Repair, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), CVVHD/CRRT, Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains, Post Craniotomy, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia. Unit/Facility Details: Please note that we may still have Covid-19 patients and all nurses are expected to be able to take care of any isolation patient. Please know your N95 Mask size.
