Job Description Pride Health is hiring for a permanent Histology Technician to lead and support daily operations of a laboratory in White Plains, NY 10601. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Histotechnician or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform high-quality laboratory and histology procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical competency, attention to detail, regulatory compliance knowledge, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: • Perform embedding, microtomy, tissue sectioning, and slide preparation procedures, • Complete routine H&E staining and evaluate stain quality, • Perform special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures, • Verify positive/negative controls and maintain run logs, • Ensure specimen integrity and accurate labeling throughout processing, • Maintain quality control documentation and regulatory compliance standards, • Participate in CAP, Joint Commission, and NYSDOH readiness activities, • Assist with inventory management, reagent tracking, and equipment maintenance, • Support departmental quality improvement initiatives Qualifications: • Active NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License or NYS Histotechnician License, • Degree in Medical Technology or related science preferred, • Minimum 1 year of hospital Histology experience preferred, • ASCP Certification preferred Additional Information: • Location: White Plains, NY 10601, • Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire, • Shift: TBD (Varies based on department needs), • Pay Range: $28/hr – $55/hr (Open for negotiation) Interested?
