We are seeking an Entry-Level Attorney with 12 years of experience in employment law to join our Legal team. This is a unique opportunity to gain deep hands-on experience in a fast-paced, employer-side practice that spans multiple industries and companies under one organizational umbrella. Position Summary As a junior member of our in-house legal team, you will assist in managing and responding to employment-related claims and compliance matters, including investigations, agency responses, and general workplace legal support. Youll work closely with paralegals, HR partners, and outside counsel, and will gain exposure to real-world cases while being mentored by seasoned legal professionals. Key Responsibilities • Draft legal responses to claims from EDD, DFEH/CRD, EEOC, and DLSE/Labor Board., • Support internal investigations by preparing notes, legal summaries, and document review., • Provide guidance to HR teams on legal best practices in performance, discipline, and terminations., • Help oversee a high-volume caseload across multiple businesses and industries., • Assist with discovery responses, subpoena compliance, and litigation hold procedures., • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda as needed., • Stay updated on changes to California and federal employment law., • Collaborate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to move matters forward efficiently., • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all case-related activities. Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school., • Licensed to practice law in California., • 12 years of employment law experience (internship, firm, or in-house experience welcome)., • Familiarity with wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, and employer-side compliance., • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills., • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple deadlines., • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn., • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
