Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports production equipment and facility operations in an industrial manufacturing environment. In this hands-on role, you maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems to ensure consistent equipment uptime. You perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support both equipment and general facility systems while working closely with production teams to minimize downtime. Responsibilities • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime., • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on machinery, including identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs., • Maintain, repair, and adjust equipment such as conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery., • Work with hydraulics and pneumatic systems, including inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing components as needed., • Read and follow basic diagrams, maintenance procedures, and work instructions to complete repairs and maintenance tasks accurately., • Support general facility maintenance, including repair and upkeep of building systems and related equipment., • Collaborate closely with production teams to identify equipment problems, prioritize work, and complete repairs efficiently., • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history., • Apply root cause analysis (RCA) methods to recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements to prevent future failures., • Perform welding, fabrication, and tool repair tasks as needed to support equipment maintenance and modifications., • Follow OSHA safety standards and site safety procedures while working on electrical, mechanical, and facility systems., • Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and contribute to a reliable and efficient production environment.Essential Skills, • Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment., • Strong ability to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a production setting., • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatic systems., • Proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime., • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including production machinery., • Ability to read and follow basic diagrams, schematics, and maintenance procedures., • Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and related industrial equipment., • Familiarity with CMMS systems for tracking maintenance activities and work orders., • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices in an industrial environment., • Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions., • Comfort working in an industrial maintenance environment with production equipment and machinery.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • PLC experience for troubleshooting and supporting automated equipment., • Welding experience for equipment repair and modification., • Fabrication skills to support custom repairs and maintenance projects., • Tool repair experience to maintain and service hand and power tools used in maintenance activities., • Experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team., • Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with production and maintenance teams.Why Work Here? You will work in a team-oriented environment that supports production operations and emphasizes safety, adherence to OSHA standards, and collaboration across maintenance and production teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of City Of Industry, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
