Role Objective: This position serves as an A&P Supervisor for Wing Aviation Maintenance (FAM). Lead technicians are responsible for all aspects of coordinating and maintaining the aircraft in accordance with the applicable General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and all applicable FARs. This includes maintenance, inspection & repair of the company’s aircraft, special tools, and ground support equipment; work order preparation, review, and completion. Safety will be the primary consideration while ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations, company policies, and requirements of 14 CFR Part 135 and all other applicable FARs that apply to the certificate holder. The Lead Technician position requires a high level of attention to detail, superior organizational skills and most importantly positive attitude. At times the position may require after hours and weekend work as needed to make aircraft and customer schedules. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient.
