Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 08/03/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2438.48 \n\n Opportunity: \n L&D \n\n Job Details: \n • 12-hour shifts available with 36 or 48-hour contract options per week \n• Guaranteed contracted hours (36 or 48 hours) per week \n• On-call required: 4x12s: 12 hours over 4 weeks; 3x12s: 24 hours over 4 weeks \n• Weekend coverage required; specific weekend requirements not guaranteed for traveling staff \n• Float required to antepartum and postpartum units \n• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends \n• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required \n• Must have experience in a large L&D unit/large facility \n• Must have 3s/4s in postpartum, baby nurse, and meconium deliveries \n• Circulate and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills required \n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (must be in hand at submission), AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate \n• Cerner charting system experience preferred \n• Purple scrubs provided by facility \n• No parking fee \n• Special procedures include: cerclage, version, C/S, PPTL, external and internal monitoring, AROM, medically assisted deliveries, C-hyst, neonatal palliative care, nitrous, massive transfusion protocol, and malignant hyperthermia \n• Required skills include: baby catcher, breastfeeding/lactation support, circulate for C-section, episiotomy/incisional care, fundus/lochia/perineum care, interpretation of dysrhythmias, mother/baby, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, obstetrical triage, use of external fetal monitoring, wound assessment/care \n• Patients served include neonates, adolescents, and adults \n• RTO greater than 7 days requires approval; no RTO during first 7 days or last day of contract \n• RQI certifications are not accepted \n• Pending NM license accepted at time of submission \n\n Facility: \n This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Children's Hospital, and Teaching Hospital providing short-term acute care services. With 554 total staffed beds, the facility maintains a robust interdisciplinary support team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The L&D unit includes 12 LDRs, 3 ORs, 5 PACU beds, and a 7-bed OB Triage area, operating as a baby-friendly organization with an average of 8 births per day and 25 visits daily. \n\n Location: \n Albuquerque, NM \n Albuquerque offers a unique blend of rich cultural heritage, stunning desert landscapes, and a vibrant arts and dining scene, making it an exciting destination for healthcare professionals.
