Regional Sales Executive - Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding - Houston, TX Freight Forwarding | Air Freight | Ocean Freight | FCL | LCL | Import | Export | NVOCC | 3PL Sales $90,000 to $120,000 base + uncapped commission WHY THIS ROLE Altius Talent is representing a global freight forwarder seeking a Regional Sales Executive to grow air and ocean freight revenue across Houston and the wider Texas market. This is a new business sales role focused on international freight forwarding, air freight, ocean freight, FCL, LCL, import, export, and end-to-end logistics solutions for mid-market and enterprise shippers. The company has strong global infrastructure, established operational support, and a clear U.S. growth strategy. The role is suited to a freight forwarding sales professional with an active shipper network, proven GP growth, and the ability to win, develop, and retain profitable customer accounts. WHAT YOU'LL DELIVER • Win new business across air freight, ocean freight, FCL, LCL, import, export, and international forwarding services., • Build and manage a sales pipeline across Houston, Texas, and strategic U.S. trade lanes., • Target importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, industrial shippers, and enterprise logistics accounts., • Develop customer solutions across Transpacific, Transatlantic, LATAM, Europe, Asia, and global trade lanes., • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, RFQs, tenders, and customer contracts to protect GP margin and long-term account value., • Partner with operations, pricing, customs brokerage, and account management teams to support onboarding, implementation, and retention., • Drive measurable revenue growth, gross profit growth, new logo acquisition, and account expansion., • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline reporting, sales forecasting, customer notes, and opportunity tracking., • Represent the business with professionalism across customer meetings, trade events, carrier discussions, and internal commercial reviews. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 3+ years of freight forwarding sales experience across air freight, ocean freight, or international logistics., • Proven track record winning new shipper accounts and delivering measurable gross profit growth., • Strong understanding of FCL, LCL, air import, air export, ocean import, ocean export, and international trade lane development., • Established network of importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, or industrial shippers in Houston, Texas, or the Gulf region., • Experience selling across Transpacific, Transatlantic, LATAM, Europe, Asia, or global forwarding lanes., • Ability to price, negotiate, present, and close freight forwarding solutions with commercial discipline., • Strong customer relationship skills across procurement, logistics, supply chain, operations, and executive stakeholders., • Comfortable working with operations teams to ensure customer onboarding, service delivery, and account retention., • Motivated by new business development, revenue ownership, uncapped commission, and long-term account growth.
