Job Description Responsibilities 1. Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate continuum of care, 2. Maintains the dignity/confidentiality of the patient, serves as a patient advocate, 3. Verifies physician order before performing therapy; reviews pertinent clinical data, 4. Select, assemble, check for proper function and operation, use and troubleshoot equipment for use in the delivery of respiratory care, 5. Administers prescribed therapy (oxygen therapy, medication administration, ventilator management) in accordance with department policy and procedure, 6. Documents in the medical record: patient assessment, patient education, therapy provided, ventilator/Bipap/SI-PAP flow sheet and CarVue, 7. Initiates, monitors , evaluates and manages care for mechanically ventilated patients according to department protocols, 8. Maintains a patent airway and provides ventilation during CPR, 9. Performs arterial puncture to obtain samples for blood gas analysis, 10. Performs diagnostic related testing such as sputum induction, forced vital capacity, peak flow measurements and pulse oximetry, 11. Performs maintenance and QC functions as required on ABG analyzers, 12. Processes respiratory equipment for cleaning and disinfection/ sterilization, 13. The Law School is searching for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The Assistant Superintendent plays a vital role in maintaining the quality of life and operational excellence at Brooklyn Law School’s residential facilities, primarily Feil Hall our modern residence hall with approximately 239 furnished units. Reporting to the Head Superintendent and Assistant Facilities Manager. The Assistant Superintendent helps ensure students live in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, and grounds while serving as a primary point of contact for resident service requests. Responsibilities include: • Ensures compliance and adherence to building rules and regulations, • Performs minor repairs and adjustments; this is a HANDS-ON position, • Assists in the maintenance of equipment and inventory of supplies, • Uses a variety of equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, ladders, mops, brooms, cleaning accessories, plumbing wrenches, screwdrivers, etc., • Ensures that fire safety and adherence to city regulations are upheld site, • Oversee/responsible for the set up and breakdown of school events including cleaning, proper temperature of space and communication with event coordinator, • Monitor emails and prioritizing each one to properly handle requests at each building, • Communicate between internal departments so all directives and agenda are properly understood and can be executed, • Must reside at Feil Hall, Brooklyn Law School Residence Hall, in Downtown Brooklyn, NY, • Must be willing to work off-hours, including nights and weekends, in case of emergencies.
